Polyurethane (Synthetic) sports floor coverings are preferred in indoor sports halls where basketball, volleyball, handball, gymnastics, wrestling and all other sports activities are performed.
Polyurethane floor coverings, which are an ideal solution for multi-purpose indoor sports halls, are highly durable, elastic and economical. They are very easy to clean, hygienic and long-lasting.
It is an indoor sports floor covering system that is finished with a pore-closing primer applied on a 4-14 mm thick cast or rolled SBR Rubber bottom layer and a polyurethane mat paint made of 2-3 mm thick polyurethane, elastomer on the top layer. Since it requires a delicate application, the application should be done by competent personnel. The system is completely monolithic in a single layer, without joints, welds or seams. This system, which does not create reverse vibration with the ball bouncing back 96% on the polyurethane floor, is reliable and ergonomic. We have many main color options within the RAL color codes.
What is Polyurethane Floor Covering?
The lower layer is 4 - 14 mm thick SBR Rubber with a pore-closing primer application and the upper layer is 2-3 mm thick polyurethane elastomer.
It is a sports floor system that is finished with polyurethane-based matte paint. Since it requires a delicate application, the application should be done by competent personnel.
It does not contain joints, it is long-lasting. The ball bounces back by 96% and does not create a reverse vibration. The application of the system is economical and safe.
Polyurethane Floor Coating Application
The surface to be applied should be a smooth, wavy, solid concrete floor surface without elevation differences, not sandblasted, and polished with a helicopter. If there are elevation differences or roughness on the concrete floor surface, they are eliminated with self-leveling leveling screed.
After the floor where the SBR rubber will be applied is prepared to the desired smoothness and the appropriate ambient temperature is achieved, 1-3 mm caliber SBR rubber granules are mixed with 18 - 20% polyurethane adhesive and applied to the floor.
The polyurethane in the adhesive; The setting time is calculated according to the ambient temperature, humidity and application surface size and the appropriate amount is determined and mixed on site.
After SBR rubber is applied to the floor, it is completely covered with pore-closing two-component putty and after the putty dries, it is sanded to obtain a smooth surface.
Then, the self-leveling polyurethane material is applied to the floor. The liquid polyurethane dries depending on the appropriate air temperature. After the polyurethane dries, the entire floor is painted with matte paint, because polyurethane has a glossy surface. After the paint dries, tapes are drawn for the game lines and basketball, volleyball or desired game lines are drawn with special line paint.
